Iğdır University Painting Department is an art education institution officially established in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey in 2011 with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2011/2471. This department operates as an important part of Iğdır University Faculty of Fine Arts. The department, which sets out with the mission of providing a comprehensive art education specific to this region, offers students a unique experience by combining the basic principles of modern and contemporary art with the artistic creativity of students

Iğdır University Painting Department is not only limited to painting techniques, but also offers students different disciplines and approaches of art. While providing a wide range of education from art history to artistic criticism, from digital art to sculpture, it helps students find and develop their own artistic voice.
